THE ITINERANT NEGRO (UNSOLVED GORE FILE CASE) What the Narc’s were claiming 1939 - In the city of Los Angeles, during 1939, two itinerant negroes were arrested as they called for a package containing Marihuana, which had been shipped into the State by express. They admitted they had traveled as itinerants to Kansas City, Missouri: there cut and processed the Marihuana and shipped it to Los Angeles, where they expected to receive it and sell it. --- Calif Dept. Penology, Report for the year 1939STEPHEN SHEPPARD; - AN ITINERANT NEGRO His name was Stephen Sheppard and while we can’t be certain, there is a strong chance that he was one of the two “Itinerant Negro’s” being referred to in this case.
