WAS MEDICAL CANNABIS (Medical Marihuana), A SMOKABLE MEDICINE? According to Oklahoma Narcotics polices own website: http://www.ok.gov/obndd/Education/Marijuana_Fact_Sheet.html - The following is stated: ". . marijuana smoke has a higher concentration of carcinogenic substances than tobacco smoke. It is linked as a cause of lung problems such as bronchitis and emphysema . . ."Thus by implication, falsely claiming that Medicinal Cannabis (Medical Marihuana) is a smokable medicine. . This is blatantly untrue. Our museum has documented well over 2,000 Medical Cannabis (Medical Marihuana) medicines, that sold legally in drugstores across this country between the years 1840 and 1940. Of ALL these medicines only (2) two of them were smokable preparations. The rest were all either external lotions or oral medications. Without question, once relegalized Medical Cannabis (Medical Marihuana) once again not be a smokable but an oral medicine. Do any of these look like smokable medicines to you? And remember our museum has documented well over 2,000 pre-1937 (meaning legal) such medicines, yet only (2) two of them were smokeable. Point being made, Medical Cannabis (Medical Marihuana) WAS NEVER a smokable medicine. FOR those of you interested in the subject, please visit our main website at www.AntiqueCannabisBook.com and go down until you see a section on smokable products.
