In response to our question, “How Many People Are In Jail For Marihuana?” Numerous State works continuously replied with the following, “Well, You Know, Their There For MORE Than Just The Marihuana.”   A reply that was used almost as a mantra, but one having no real meaning.   And to set the record straight, once we got a hold of the prisoner record files (via Oklahoma’s Open Records Act), we had no trouble in locating the following one hundred State prisoners (listed here by Prison ID No.) presently under incarceration (as of Feb 24,2014) SOLELY for Possession of Marihuana and no other offence.   --- NOTE, as the prison system lists MOST Marihuana prisoners under the CDS label (instead of making mention to the actual substance in use), we can reasonable presume that the actual number of those incarcerated SOLELY for Marihuana possession is much, MUCH, LARGER.
